StrikeOptics

Privacy policy

Last updated: August 9, 2026

Strike Optics ("we", "us") operates strikeoptics.com. This page describes what we collect, why, and what we do with it. The short version: we collect what the product needs to work, we run our own analytics rather than handing your activity to an ad network, and we do not sell your data to anyone.

What we collect

Ticker searches are processed by our servers. When we fetch market data for a symbol you look up, the upstream data provider receives the symbol, not your identity.

Cookies and local storage

We set one cookie: a session cookie that keeps you signed in. It is essential to the service, is not readable by scripts, and holds no tracking information. Your browser's local storage is used for functional caches (the app's compiled code, the ticker directory) and for the random analytics identifier described above. We use no advertising cookies and no third-party tracking cookies.

How we use your information

We do not sell or rent your personal information, and we do not share it with advertisers.

Who else touches your data

These providers process data on our behalf to run the service. No one else receives your personal information unless the law requires it.

Retention and deletion

We keep your account data for as long as your account exists. To access, correct, or delete your data, email us at the address below and we will act on the request. Deleting your account removes your saved watchlist, portfolio, and account details; billing records are retained as long as tax and accounting rules require.

Security

All traffic is encrypted in transit (HTTPS). Passwords are hashed, sessions are revocable server-side, and changing your password signs out every other device.

Children

The service is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their data.

Changes

If this policy changes materially, we will update this page and its date. Continued use of the service after a change means the updated policy applies.
